The Good, the Bad, and the Undecided...

OK - I must confess. I'm the teeniest bit green-eyed over Ophelia's fabulous vacation at (wait for it) Camp Knitty Ha-Ha. Oh wellllll, I'll get over it. Maybe another year. :-(

Good news on another front. The Ministry has decided to transfer me to their Atlantic-based offices...mid-Atlantic, that is. ;-) I'll still be working for the same department, but beautiful beaches, sunny skies, and surprisingly temperate weather await me. Never fear - I won't be transferring until after the term is completed.

Exciting Travels

Housemates -

Have I got exciting news! I was able to secure lodgings in the muggle city of Atlanta. I even rode one of those devices called an "airplane"! Quite interesting, but, honestly, give me a broom any day! I'll admit, this airplane is cleaner than your average trip through the floo network, but it takes so much more time - and the view isn't nearly as good as the view from a broom. (Of course, the extra time meant that I was able to work on my spoilee's bag - I'm nearly finished!)

At any rate, I'm visiting Atlanta so I can see the exhibit at the High Museum. Although most muggles will only be seeing the Terracotta Warriors, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for any other creatures. ;-) Who knows what managed to sneak in the exhibit without being seen?

Visit

The cleaning wizards are working around the clock. I keep tripping over enchanted brooms and feather dusters. No - it's not spring cleaning (yet). Mother is coming to visit this weekend! I've nearly finished all of my schoolwork also, although the Professors really hit me with a lot of work this week...especially Charms and History of Magic! Of course, it would help if I could stay awake in History of Magic, but who has any luck with that!

From Snow Day to Beach Day...all in one week!

Well, the title about says it all. The week started off with snow and ended with beautiful, clear, 65 deg weather. Unfortunately, I didn't get to stay home and enjoy any of it. The Ministry continues to be quite busy and my new job is keeping me hopping.

But at least I've found time to start on my spoilee's bag! If I'm lucky, I'll get a good chunk of it done this weekend. I really wish I was a fast knitter like Ophelia. But I guess it just takes a bunch of practice.

I found this neat HP quiz. I didn't do very well though - I only got 15. :-(
